We’re often asked, believe it or not, why we charge for riding on the park because ‘you don’t have to do anything, do you?’. Well…. maintaining 230 acres is a big job! Every time there’s a big gale it costs a few hundred pounds just to straighten things up, and some of the bigger jobs are hugely time and cost consuming. Adam and the boys are constantly trying to catch up with broken planks, fallen branches, wasp nests, dog mess on the trails, and a lot more. A lot of this goes on out of hours so riders don’t really notice the sound – all you can hear is Adam moaning about his bad back later on.
Recently it’s been especially muddy because of the constant rain for many weeks now, and some trails are underwater completely – check out these photos:
