Took 10 year old daughter here as a trial. We don't have anywhere to keep or ride bikes at home, so this is one of 2 rental options in the area. Lovely location, and helpful staff. Good quality bikes. The main trail is challenging for an absolute beginner, but wonderful for everyone else. Saw two deer on the course. If you are a true mountain bike nut(which I am not), then the variety of trails and challenges is excellent. The facilities are basic after the ride, (portable toilets) dark café, however this a good 2 hours for 30 quid for two, and a beautiful and uncrowded space. We will return.

Went Mountain Biking Sunday Bank Holiday for the first time in 5 years, my friend goes quite regularly so slightly nervous. But the trails were brilliantly laid out with options to go "off-piste" if you like for those who are better on a bike, and a simple main trail for the less confident.By the end I was up to speed having worked steadily up, and each of the trails were well maintained and labelled correctly. Wicked day. Also, Adam (I think it's Adam? The lad in the rental office) was an absolute gem. £15 for bike rental. Can't go wrong. Will definitely be back.

Spent a lovely time here yesterday, following the main trail round with 12 & 14 year old boys. Excellent explanation of the course and one good-quality mountain bike hired (much better than my son's hybrid). We found the signs and maps easy to follow, which made for a much less stressful trip than our usual 'getting lost again'. The terrain is variable and there are options for more complex biking, although we found plenty of mud and bumps on the main trail. Great set of jumps and ramps at the beginning/end for us all to have a go. Nice place for coffee afterwards too.

I took my 9,11 and 14 year old kids out for a first go at mountain biking. Bike hire was easy and they got correctly sized and sturdy, if heavy bikes. The bike shop staff were really welcoming and knowledgeable, and the trails were good for beginners. The main trail is double track, but with loops of blue red and black trail off it, so I could nip off for a quick bit of more challenging riding and join up with them again a couple of minutes later. Two hours was just right to get legs tired but not exhausted.

Fantastic service, very laid back and without any pressure, I got a great deal on a second hand bike which came fully checked over and serviced with a warranty. Lots of choice and the staff really know their stuff. I wouldn't buy a bike anywhere else now, especially as you can try it out on the trail before buying.

I just wanted to thank you and Deer's Leap for the fab time Louis had on Saturday. Ross was excellent and made sure that the boys had a fantastic ride, despite the weather! The staff were all very welcoming and helpful and it was great to be able to use the cafe area afterwards. I will certainly recommend Deer's Leap mountain bike parties to friends with kids.

Jonnie had a great party at Deers Leap yesterday - the boys all loved it and the mud from the previous days’ rain made it all the more fun. Ross & Tully were fantastic putting up with quite an exuberant bunch of boys. I even managed to keep up with all the boys which I was quite chuffed about.
